This swordsmith, Fujiwara Shigeyuki, his tradename was Shirozaemon and was active in Takada, Bungo Province during the early Edo Period, Kambun Era. The founder of his lineage was said to be a disciple of Tomoyuki during the Nambokucho Period. In the Shinto Era, this lineage continued for 4 generations until the Mid Edo Period. This shape of this Wakizashi is a bit unusual as Kissaki Moroha Hirazukuri. It comes with the original Aikuchi style Koshirae with a Kinkarakawa-tsutsumi and Koshi-kizami Saya. it has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token Shinsa in 2022. |
