Judging from the features of the Mei, this Wakizashi was forged by Harima Daijo Tadakuni, 1st Generation. He was a nephew of Tadayoshi, 1st Generation. He was born in 1598 and passed away in 1691 at the age of 94. Tadakuni, 1st generation held a reputation for having better skills than any other Waki-hizen swordsmiths, such as Masahiro and Yukihiro. This Wakizashi shows that this statement is true. It passed the Hozon Token Shinsa in 2022. |
