This swordsmith, Izumo Daijo Fujiwara Yoshitake, 1st Generation, was the son of Horikawa Kunitake, who belonged to the Horikawa Tradition and lived in Heianjo. They were a descendant of Sanjo Yoshinori, a famous Yamashiro swordsmith who was active during the Muromachi Period. Later Yoshitake moved to Edo where he was influenced by the Hojoji Tradition. He passed away in 1694. |
