| Enju Kunihide [延寿国秀] also inscribed himself as “Kunihide, descendant of Enju Kunimura in Higo Province [肥後国延寿国村末孫国秀].” His first inscription was Kuninobu [国延]. He became a disciple of Suishinji Masahide [水心子正秀] and changed his name to Kunihide [国秀]. This yari has the additional inscription: “Forged by Kunihide, imitating the famous spear made by Fujiwara no Nobusada (a descendant of the Enju smiths) for the sake of Yanase Daisuke Atsunobu.” It passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token shinsa sebmitted in June 2025. |
