| Akama Tsunanobu [赤間綱信]of Yonezawa, Dewa Province, was a desciple of Kato Tsunahide [加藤綱英]. He forged a wide range of sowrds with great skill, like his master. He later moved to Edo and began his career there. This sunnobi-tanto wakizashi inscribed the two-character mei/sign "Tsunanobu [綱信]," likely a special order from someone very close. It is sound and well-made. It passed the Hozon Token shinsa in 2022. |
