| Tsunafusa[綱房] was the second generation of the Kanesada[兼定] lineage of the Aizu Furukawa clan. He was originally inscribed with Kanesada, but when Gamo Hideyuki was re-appointed as lord of the Aizu domain in 1601, Kanesada was given a retainer’s stipend and, at Hideyuki's order, changed his name to "Tsunafusa." Tsunefusa passed away in 1637. This wakizashi is a Hirazukuri wakizashi with a powerful Keicho Shinto style. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token shinsa in 1998. |
