Yamashiro no Kami Kunikane (second generation) was born in 1612 as the eldest son of the first generation, Yamashiro Daijo Kunikane. In 1645, at the age of 34, he succeeded the second generation, and in 1667, he received the title of Yamashiro no kami, which was higher than his father, and died in 1672, at the age of 61. Like the first generation, he is good at the masame-kitae and suguha-hamon. A characteristic Mei of 包makes it clear as second generation. This wakizashi was forged by Yamashiro no Kami Kunikane, an excellent work that resemble for the first generation. It comes with a ceremonial koshirae with a black lacquer saya. It has passed the Hozon Token shinsa in 2018. |
