This swordsmith, Ikeda Kazuhide Nyudo Ryuken, was the first generation of the Ikeda Kazuhide lineage. He was born in 1773 in the late Edo Period in Shonai, Dewa Province. He was a disciple of Master Suishinshi Masahide. In 1805, he became an official swordsmith of the Shonai Clan. He passed away in 1841 at the age of 69. |
