Other Info
This Signature of this Wakizashi is Ie (shortened Nakago, assumed: Iesuke) from Osafune, Bishu. The Hozon Certificate states the swordsmith is Iesuke. Iesuke was active during the Muromachi Period. This lineage had 4 generations and belonged to the Kozori Tradition in Bizen Province. Considering the Mei and the blade features of Kogunome with Choji Hamon and clear Midare-utsuri, this Iesuke is likely the second generation who was active during the Ekyo Era, early Muromachi Period around 1430. A very attractive Wakizashi and has passed the Hozon Token Shinsa in 2022.
