The theme of this Tsuba is Amaryu, Dragon without Scales. It is Mumei but has been attributed to Jingo in the late generation because of the features of the design and the use of the iron and details in silver using Nunome-Zogan/inlay technique. The Jingo lineage continued from the early Edo Period to the early Meiji Period to a total of eight generations. It has passed the Hozon Tosohu shinsa in 2024. |
