The theme of this Tsuba is Rakugan, Wild geese flying down from the sky. It is Mumei but has been attributed to Akasaka Tadatoki, 4th generation. This Tsuba used the Kage-sukashi technique. That is why it was attributed to Tadatoki, 4th generation because he was skilled at crafting the Kage-sukashi style Tsubas within the Akasaka generations. It has passed the Hozon Tosogu Shinsa. |
