This swordsmith, Soryushi Tamahide, was born in 1792 in the Sendai Clan. He studied sword forging skills from Takehiro Yasuhide, who was a disciple of Suishinshi Masahide in the Ichinoseki Clan. Later, he moved to Edo where he became a disciple of Taikei Natotane. After learning his forging skills he returned to the Sendai Clan. He passed away in 1862 at the age of 70.
