Other Info
The Kaga-zogan is a traditional work by the Kaga Maeda clan craftsmen that uses flat inlay of gold, silver, light silver, and copper to express flowers, insects, and landscapes in a gorgeous and detailed manner. There are very few signed pieces. This work depicts ivy and insects with intricate gold and silver flat inlay on the entire surface of a polished shakudo surface. The back side depicts a plum tree in kebori engraving technique on a shibuichi surface. This is a top-quality piece of the Kaga-zogan Tradition.
