| Hakuryushi Fujiwara Nagashige [白龍子藤原永繁] based in Sendai, was a swordsmith around the Bunkyu period. The 11th generation of the Tashiro Nagashige lineage. Born in Tempo 4 and passed away in Taisho 10 (1833-1922).This katana has a beautiful ko-itame kitae with ji-nie and thick sugu-ha hamon. It has a small chu-kissaki and a long, elegant shape. The nakago is orijinal and excellent workmanship. It has passed the Hozon Token shinsa in 2009, and is of a quality that is worthy of the Tokubetsu Hozon Token. It comes with a uchikatana style koshirae with a high-quality black aogai-mijin-fuemaki-nuri scabbard. |
