This swordsmith, Yasumitsu, second generation. Yasumitsu was one of two representative swordsmiths of the so called Ohei-Bizen. The other was Morimitsu. Ohei-Bizen means swordsmiths during the Ohei era in the early Muromachi period in Bizen Province. Yasumitsu, second generation was the son of the first generation. Uemon no jo Yasumitsu was the first generation. Sakyo no Suke Yasumitsu was the second generation. It has passed the Juyo Token shinsa in 1996. |
