Yamato no Kami Yoshimichi belonged to the Mishina Tradition. This lineage has two generations. There were active during the early Edo Period in Settsu Province. The first generation was the grandson of Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi, first generation. Yamato no Kami second generation was the elder son of the first generation. Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi was skilled at Sudareba Hamon work. While, Yamato no Kami Yoshimichi was skilled at flamboyant Choji Hamon. However, this Katana is Sudareba making it very rare. It has a very elegant shape and has passed the Hozon Token Shinsa in 2015. |
