This swordsmith, Koyama Munetoshi, was the elder brother of the famous Koyama Munetsugu. Munetoshi was a disciple of Mutsu no Suke Koyama Hiromoto, an offical worker of the Nihon Matsu Clan. Munetoshi passed away in 1870 at the age of 76. This Katana resembles the work of Koyama Munetsugu. The Hamon is Gunome-choji Midare with Bizen-den. A very beautiful and sound blade. |
