| Nagatsuna [長綱] is a master swordsmith and a disciple of the first Tadatsuna [忠綱]. Known for his deafness, Nagatsuna engraved the name "Deaf Nagatsuna" on his blades, earning him the nickname "Tsunbo/Deaf Nagatsuna." His style is similar to that of his master, Tadatsuna, with his gonome and gome-choji hamon. This work features exquisite komokume forging, and unlike the characteristic midareba with evenly aligned yakigashira, it has a choji-midare hamon pattern, where the yakigashira resemble a notare hamon, similar to his master's style. The hamon has a ashi, sunagashi and yo. The blade include nakago is in good condition. It passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token shinsa in 2021. |
