This swordsmith, Nobuie [信舎], was from the Sanami Tradition in Seki, Mino Province. He moved to Kai Province and later to Suwa, Shinano Province. He was active during the late Muromachi to Early Edo Period, specifically from Tensho Era to the beginning of Kanei Era. The shape of this blade is Kaicho-Shinto style where it gives a very powerful impression. It has passed the Hozon Token shinsa in 2014. |
