This tsuba was made by the contemporary master swordsmith Yoshihara Yoshindo [吉原義人] with openwork of the Fudo Sanzon Sanskrit lettering. The Fudo Sanzon is said to be an incarnation of Dainichi Nyorai and consists of Acala, the central figure of the Five Great Kings, and the attendants Kongara Doji and Seitaka Doji. This is a masterpiece tosho/swordsmith tsuba with "(gold engraving) Yoshindo [義人]". Hakogaki/box inscription: Fudo Sanzon Sanskrit lettering, Autumn 2018 Kokaji Yoshindo (artisan's seal).
