The theme of this tsuba is Kirimon-chirashi, paulownia crests made of shakudo with gold paulownia crests inlaid on the surface of the Nanako pattern. The paulownia crests show a characteristic of the Goto family's work, known as mugitagane. The tsuba's condition suggests that it dates from the Momoyama Period. |
