This tsuba depicts a dragon like holding a sphere using taka-bori and suki-bori techniques. In addition, the inside circumference is lowered by one step, and traditional three patterns are decollated with gold overlay. This tsuba is ingenuity. Based on the inscription and the craftsmanship, this Masatoshi[正利] is considered to be a tusba craftsman from Bushu, Ito school in the late Edo period. |
