Akasaka tsuba is an urbane and sophisticated tsuba that combines the simplicity and strength of Owari tsuba with the grace and delicacy of Kyo tsuba. This tsuba has a sophisticated composition of the moon, mist and two wild geese. The smaller kogai-hitsu-hole shows that this Akasaka tsuba was not made latter than mid Edo period. It is mumei, but has been attributed to the Akasaka Toradition and passed the Hozon shinsa in 1997. |
