| A tsuba made of thin iron plate with a sukidashi-bori and usuniku-bori carving techniques similar to the carving craft of Kamakura-bori is called a Kamakura-tsuba. This tradition was a very popular with a deep and elegant taste with a mixture of elusive patterns. This tsuba is unusual with its nunome-zogan [damascening] technique. It has been attributed to the Den-Kamakura Tradition and has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu Shinsa in 2013. |
