The theme of this Tsuba is Willow and Herons. It was a popular and traditional theme at that time. The Sukibori, Kebori, and Zogan iroe techniques were used to craft this Tsuba. The use of the different materials and colors were skillfully crafted to enhance the design. It is Mumei, but considering the features of this work, it was likely crafted by a craftsman of the Mito-tradition. |
