| The theme of this Tsuba is Snails with Lattice Window. The craftsman, Shigesada, was one of the craftsmen of the Akita Shoami Tradition. He studied in Edo as a disciple of Goto Tsujo. This Tsuba depicts Snails with Lattice Window by use of various techniques on the copper surface. Very elaborate work. It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu in 2023. |
