The theme of this Tsuba is Hoshinamako, dried sea cucumber. This design was popular in the Echizen region as well as with the Myochin and Higo traditions. The design has six to seven skewed cucumbers drying on a rack. A very unique design. It has been attributed to the Myochin Tradition and has passed the Hozon Shinsa in August 2023. |
