This pair of menuki has the features of the Goto school, such as Suhama-mon pattern and chisel markings, and the moderate thickness of the gold plate and the skillful heshidashi technique suggest that it was made in the early Edo period. It is mumei, but has been attributed to the Waki-goto school and passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa In May 2025. |
