| Jurojin, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, is the deity of longevity and wisdom. He is depicted as an elderly figure with a long white beard, often accompanied by a deer, a symbol of long life.On this piece, Jurojin is finely rendered on the front in takabori with inlay and iroe on a shibuichi migaki-ji ground, while the reverse depicts a deer in katakiribori with gold hira-zogan. It is attributed to the Mito school and passed the Hozon Tosogu shinsa in November 2025. |
