Keishinsai Naomasa[慶心斎直正] was a desciple of Naotane[直胤] and a swordsmith of the Nakamura Domain in Soma. "Made by Miyazaki Echizennokami Naomasa[宮崎越前守直正作之]", "Miyazaki Keishinsai Naomasa[宮崎慶心斎直正]", "Made by a retainer of Nakamura cran Keishinsai Naomasa[中村臣慶心斎直正作之]". He left behind works dating from Kaei to Meiji. He passed away in 1879. This katana is 2 shaku 5 sun, 75.8cm in blade length, giving a powerful and elegant impression made with Soshu-den in 1853 (Kaei 6). It has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon shinsa in 2024. |
