| Lin Hejing was a poet of China's Song Dynasty. He built a hermitage by the shores of West Lake and lived a secluded life. His love for plum blossoms and the poems he composed about them are still passed down today. He also kept a beloved crane, which, when released, would circle the sky for a while before returning to its cage. This fuchi-kashira depicts Lin Hejing with his beloved crane by his side at the kashira and an old plum tree at the fuchi. The metal craftsman, Norichika, was a disciple of Nukagawa Yasunori. He excelled at high-relief carvings depicting Tang warriors and immortals. A metalworker residing in Mito, Hitachi Province, and Takasaki, Kōzuke Province during the late Edo period. It passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu shinsa in 2025. |
