Plovers is a popular subject depicted with waves or reeds. The plover represents the happiness of a husband and wife or a family, and the waves means that they are trying to overcome together. The reeds are meant to get up and grow upward even after being knocked down by the wind and rain. This Fuchi-kashira has a beautifully gold-plate on a shakudo-ishimeji surface, with a couple of plovers flying on reeds. |
